Chairperson, Representative Director Poppins CorporationPresident, Representative Director Poppins CorporationThe International Symposium in November took me back to Stanford University for the first time in three years. I was able to soak up the unique in-person atmosphere that virtual events simply cannot achieve. The industry has certainly seen challenges, from pandemic-induced closures to teacher turnover and hiring difficulties. On the other hand, America’s early childhood research From the PresidentIn January this year, we opened Poppins Nursery School Karuizawa Kazakoshi, our 333rd facility in Japan. As Poppins’ flagship facility, this school is staffed with handpicked nursery teachers who have passed a rigorous interview process and undergone extensive training to enhance the quality of our services. Amid the abundant nature and refined culture of Mission Statementis progressing several steps ahead of Japan, not least through the new Stanford Center on Early Childhood (SCEC). We were fortunate enough to be invited to the center’s launch event, and to further discussions about future collaborative research. In an era where parents have many nursery school options, we will continue striving to remain their preferred choice.Karuizawa, Poppins is embarking on a new chapter of EduCare. We look forward to seeing you.At the same time, we are working to enhance our housekeeping services, for which we have seen growing need in recent years. In the year ahead, we will continue to take on new challenges to continue to lead the industory.22nd JAFE seminar and JAFE×WAW special eventLast September, the Japan Association for Female Executives (JAFE, chaired by Noriko Nakamura) hosted a seminar with guest speakers Prime Minister Fumio Kishida, Minister in charge of Women's Empowerment Masanobu Ogura, and political journalist Hiroshi Izumi. Prime Minister Kishida spoke about policies focused on women’s economic independence in his opening address. In December, JAFE organized a side event for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs-run “World Assembly for Women: WAW! 2022,” inviting President Guðni and Ambassador Stefán of the Republic of Iceland, and Nguyen Thi Nga, chairwoman of Vietnam's BRG Group. The event served as an invaluable learning opportunity, including initiatives from Iceland, which has topped the Gender Gap Index for 13 years running.Experiencing 3 years of change and progress in the USContinuing to improve our servicesPOPPINS GROUP NEWS
