Poppins Group Human Rights Policy

Based on our mission of "supporting working women with the highest standard of EduCare and nursing services," the Poppins Group provides services that seamlessly support women throughout their life stages in order to realize a society in which women can continue to work and flourish. We will protect the human rights and dignity of all officers and employees (including part-time and temporary employees as well as subcontractors), customers (including children, the elderly, working women, and their families and relatives to whom we provide services and products), and all people affected by our business activities, while also respecting diversity. Based on the belief that "when women flourish, society flourishes, and the world is transformed," we wish for the happiness of all people around women and promote initiatives to respect human rights throughout our Group.

Basic concept

We support international norms on human rights, such as the International Bill of Human Rights (Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the International Covenants on Human Rights), the ILO Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work, and the Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact. Based on these norms as well as Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, Children's Rights and Business Principles, and others, the Poppins Group and all officers, employees, etc. will promote initiatives to respect human rights. We do not tolerate discrimination, inequality, harassment, or any other violation of human rights based on gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation, religion, creed, disability, ethnicity, nationality, race, age, or any other attribute. We also do not tolerate any form of forced labor or child labor. We respect the freedom of association, the right of workers to organize, and the right to collective bargaining.

Scope of application

This policy applies to all officers, employees, etc. of the Poppins Group. We fully understand our position to respect our own human rights as well as those of others and will act in accordance with this policy. We also expect our business partners and partner companies to support this policy, and we will continue to encourage the entire value chain to work together to promote respect for human rights.

Compliance with applicable laws and regulations

We will comply with the laws and regulations applicable in each country and region in which we operate.

Handling of personal information

In light of the importance of protecting personal information, the Poppins Group has established a privacy policy for properly handling personal information entrusted to us by stakeholders, ensures that all officers and employees are fully aware of the policy, and endeavors to appropriately protect personal information so as not to cause any human rights violations.

A vibrant workplace environment where enthusiasm thrives

We are committed to continuously enhancing the health, safety, and working conditions for all officers and employees in the workplace. We will strive to create a workplace environment where each and every employee can perform at their best and work vibrantly in their own way by diversifying the options for work styles to match individual lifestyles.

Interactions with customers

We respect the human rights of our customers and strive to avoid discriminatory treatment when providing services and products. We will also strive to resolve human rights issues together with our customers, and ask that they respect and not violate human rights. In the event that a service or product we provide is linked to a violation of human rights, we, as the Poppins Group, will take appropriate action and encourage our customers to also respond appropriately.

Education

We will continue to educate and train all officers and employees to ensure that this policy is integrated into and permeates throughout our business activities, and that it is properly understood and effectively implemented.

Framework for promoting respect for human rights

Our Board of Directors is responsible for ensuring that our human rights commitments are met and for overseeing our efforts therefor, and the Sustainability Committee plays a central role in promoting initiatives to respect human rights in cooperation with related departments. Should it become clear that any officers, employees, or the services and products provided by the Poppins Group have caused negative impacts related to human rights, such as discrimination, harassment, or other human rights violations, we will respond appropriately and take measures to remedy them.
